The Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A and B shares, edged up 0.32 percent, or 7.00 points, to 2,213.19. China's economy grew 9.1 percent year-on-year in the third quarter last year, down from 9.5 percent in the second quarter and 9.7 percent in the first. Data for the fourth quarter and the whole year is expected Tuesday.
