Meanwhile another ship scheduled to load rice also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours. Berth occupancy was managed at the Port at 46% on Sunday where a total of six ships namely C.V Maersk Carolina, M.V Hiba Al-Noor-B, M.T Golden Ambrosai, M.T Chemroute Sun, M.T Estia and M.V Ocean Eagle are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, chemicals, palm oil, furnace oil and coal respectively during last 24 hours. A cargo volume of 61,122 tonnes comprises 51,014 tonnes imports and 10,108 tonnes exports inclusive containerzed cargo carried in 1,285 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours. C.V Maersk Carolina sailed out to sea on Monday morning. C.V MSC Jade carrying containers are expected to take berth at container terminal respectively on Monday 16 January.
