Some eleven Pakistani cricket stars including star all-rounder Shahid Afridi, Mohammad Hafeez and T20 specialist Sohail Tanvir will light up the upcoming Global T20 Canada Cricket league, which is scheduled to commence this month.

Afridi will be representing the Edmonton Royals alongside fellow mates Mohammad Irfan, Tanvir, Asif Ali, Hasan Khan and Agha Salman. Meanwhile, veteran all rounder Hafeez was picked by Montreal Tigers.

The Toronto Nationals grabbed four Pakistani cricketers for the league featuring Kamran Akmal, Hussain Talat, Rumman Raees and Usama Mir. Global T20 Canada will consist of six teams, five representing Canadian cities – Edmonton Royals, Montreal Tigers, Toronto Nationals, Vancouver Knights and Winnipeg Hawks – with a sixth, Cricket West Indies representative team, consisting entirely of players from the Caribbean.

The league will feature 22 matches culminating in playoffs and the final match on July 16. All contests will take place at Maple Leaf Cricket Club, Toronto.
