Shipping activity at Port Qasim

Meanwhile seven more ships carrying containers, phosphoric Acid, paraxylene, palm oil and coal also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy remained at the Port at thirty eight percent on Wednesday where a total of five ships namely C.V OOCL San Francisco, M.V Hiba Al-Nour-B, M.T Golden Ambrosai, M.T Purwati and M.T Bunga Melati-5 are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, palm oil and chemicals respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 28,919 tonnes comprises 17,920 tonnes imports and 10,999 tonnes exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in 1,101 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.

Three ships C.V OOCL San Francisco, M.T Purwati and M.T Bunga Melati-5 sailed out to sea on Thursday morning.

Six ships C.V CMA CGM Puget, C.V Safmarine Ngami, C.V Nysted Maersk, M.T Chemroad Lily, M.T Patriotic and M.V Ocean Eagle carrying containers, palm oil, chemicals and coal are expected to take berths at QICT, LCT, EVTL and IOCB respectively on Thursday, January 12, while another ships C.V MSC Anafi is due to arrive at Port Qasim on Friday, January 13.
