Meanwhile four more ships carrying containers and chemicals also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was observed at the Port at 46 percent on Tuesday as against the 31% previous day where a total of six ship namely C.V CMA CGM Mazart C.V Asir, M.V Hiba Al-Nour-B, M.T Bunga Melati-5, M.T Rio Gracia and M.T Fair Spirit are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, palm oil, chemicals and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.

Cargo handling operation were carried out efficiently at the Port Qasim where a cargo volume of 118,051 tonnes, comprises 64,832 tonnes imports and 53,219 tonnes exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in 4,278 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours.

Two ships C.V CGM Mazart and M.T Fair Spirit sailed out to sea on Wednesday, morning, while two more ships M.T Rio Gracia and C.V Asir are expected to sail on same day.

Three ships C.V OOCL San Francisco, M.T Golden Ambrosa and M.T Purwati carrying containers, MEG and Acetic Acid are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Engro Terminal respectively on Wednesday, 11th January. Two ships C.V Alexander and M.V Ocean Eagle are due to arrive at Port Qasim on same day, while three more ships C.V CMA CGM Puget, C.V Safmarine Nagami and C.V Nysted Maersk are due to arrive on Thursday, 12th January.
