The government did not accept any bids at the previous auction on May 8, saying investors were asking for "out of ordinary" yields due to market volatility.

The government on Tuesday sold T-bills maturing in August with a weighted average yield of 5.20 percent, and those maturing in February 2019 with 5.86 percent.

The weighted average yields of the bonds sold on Tuesday were largely in line with yields of comparable bonds on the same trading day.
