After latest controversy, ‘Pepsi BOTB’ might get Strings instead of Ali Zafar

30 Apr, 2018

Pakistani singer Ali Zafar was expected to be the new judge of ‘BOTB’ alongside Meesha Shafi and Fawad Khan, until Meesha accused the singer of sexual harassment, granting another famous band to fill in his place.

Previously, rumors were making rounds that Ali might be chosen to take the place of Atif Aslam in the show. But after Meesha accused the ‘Rockstar’ singer of sexual harassment, the show makers have reportedly decided to replace him.

After Meesha Shafi, more women are accusing Ali Zafar of sexual harassment

Even though Pepsi has been refraining from making any official statements, Dawn Images reported that the show had initially signed in Ali as one of the judges before the sexual harassment accusations were made by Meesha on the star.

Strings found themselves taking over the role of producers for Coke Studio. We are very excited to announce that they return in Season 10 not just as producers but as singers as well, creating musical tales to keep audiences hooked around the world.

Fawad and Meesha are returning as the judges in the latest season of ‘BOTB’ while the third judge of the show Atif will not be joining in the squad this year. Now that Ali might not be Atif's replacement, instead it has been reported that Strings duo Faisal Kapadia and Bilal Maqsood might be joining in his place.

After brilliantly producing Coke Studio from season 7 to season 10, it seems like Faisal and Bilal have switched sides and are taking up another carbonated drink. Strings are no doubt a perfect choice for the judging panel of the show seeing their pitch perfect resume.

The filming of the ‘Pepsi Battle of the Bands’ is underway and it’s still to see who will be joining Fawad and Meesha as the third judge in the show.
