This simple hack can prevent sliced apples from going brown
A mother of three has come up with a genius solution to prevent sliced apples from turning brown and that one simple trick will amaze you.
Speaking to news.com.au, Eleanor Hill from Sydney said her children loved to munch on apples all day but they had stopped eating them in their preschool due to the apples turning brown. Then she started doing one thing and all that was brought home by her children was the apple core.
The trick is a simple one and does not involve any money or any hard work. The answer to keeping the apples from turning brown is a rubber band.
This genius trick involves just a rubber band. She revealed that she sliced the apple into wedges then reassembled the apple with core inside to stop the middle to go brown and kept the sliced apple in place with a rubber band.
“It works perfectly, the fruit’s own acids keep it fresh — you don’t even need any cling wrap or foil, just straight into a snack pot.’’ The Sun quoted her. Hill added that she did not use this trick just for apples but also for pears.
Her amazing hack was adopted by moms and dads on social media who were exasperated from the uneaten apples returning home.
