CP market shrinks in latest week: US

The size of the US commercial paper market shrank by $27.2 billion to $959.3 billion on a seasonally adjusted basis in the week ended Dec. 28 from a seasonally adjusted $986.5 billion outstanding a week earlier.

The size of the market without seasonal adjustments shrank by $22.8 billion in the latest week to $982.6 billion from $1.0055 trillion.

US foreign financial commercial paper outstanding, not seasonally adjusted, grew by $900 million in the latest week to $175 billion from $174.1 billion.
