LAHORE: The Suthra Punjab Agency Lahore (SPAL) ensured effective cleanliness arrangements during the two-day food gala held at Jilani Park to mark World Food Day.
On the directions of SPAL Chief Executive Officer Sheryar Arif Khan, over 60 sanitation workers were deployed to maintain cleanliness during the celebrations on Saturday. SPAL’s 10 zonal officers were assigned to monitor cleanliness arrangements across three shifts, while more than 20 wheelie waste bins were placed at Jilani Park to ensure proper waste collection and clearance.
SPAL also established a cleanliness awareness camp at the venue. The agency’s Social Mobilizer Wing educated visitors attending the food gala about the importance of maintaining cleanliness in public places.
Commenting on the initiative, Sheryar Arif Khan stated that sanitation teams remained on duty before, during and after the World Food Day gala to ensure cleanliness at Jilani Park. “Special measures were also taken to maintain cleanliness on entry and exit routes and adjoining roads. Providing citizens with a clean and healthy environment during all events and festivals remains the top priority of SPAL.”
