PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department has formally notified the dismissal of 30 doctors from their services posted at various health facilities across the province for alleged fake registration with Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and illegal recruitment.

According to the department, the decision followed a detailed review of the doctors’ explanations, submitted evidence and inquiry reports.

The department said it had issued show-cause notices to all the doctors and provided them with an opportunity for a personal hearing before taking action.

It was also decided to recover salaries and other government dues paid to the dismissed doctors during their service through legal procedures to ensure transparency in the health department.
