Leather, paper items: FBR initiates e-monitoring of production

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will electronically monitor production of leather and paper and paperboard products by manufacturers of these items across the country.

According to an S.R.O. 1751(l)2026 issued by the FBR, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (l) of section 50 and section 40C ofthe Sales Tax Act, I 990, the FBR has notified that the production of registered persons engaged in the manufacturing of Leather and Paper and Paperboard shall be electronically monitored in accordance with the provisions of rule l50ZQR of Chapter XIV-BA of the Sales Tax Rules. 2006. with immediate effect.
