Arms Ordinance: District judiciary resolves over 86pc cases across Punjab
LAHORE: The district judiciary across Punjab has successfully resolved over 86 percent of pending cases registered under the Pakistan Arms Ordinance, 1965, up to the year 2023.
This achievement comes in direct compliance with the special directives of the Chief Justice of Lahore High Court, Lahore, Justice Miss Aalia Neelum.
During the last six months, district courts across the province disposed of 2,934 cases out of a total of 3,397 pending matters. Significantly, complete clearance has been attained in 17 districts of Punjab, where all cases under the Pakistan Arms Ordinance, 1965, up to 2023, have now been fully adjudicated.
The ongoing digitalization of the judicial apparatus has not only substantially curtailed the backlog of pending litigation but has also significantly reinforced the confidence of legal practitioners and litigants in the dispensation of justice.
