The ‘Wazir-e-Azam Apna Ghar Programme – Ghar Ho Tu Apna’ (GHTA) is a nationwide subsidised housing finance initiative launched on April 30, 2026, by PM Shehbaz Sharif.
It aims to address Pakistan’s housing shortage by providing affordable, long-term financing to low- and middle-income families for homeownership and by stimulating economic growth through increased construction activity.
The program was developed after extensive consultations with the private sector, the finance ministry, and the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
