ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority has increased electricity prices by Rs1.11 per unit nationwide, including for K-Electric consumers, under the monthly fuel adjustment for August 2026.
NEPRA issued a notification regarding the increase, which will be reflected in consumers’ electricity bills for October.
According to the notification, the Rs1.11 per unit increase relates to the monthly adjustment for August and will also apply to K-Electric consumers.
The Central Power Purchasing Agency had sought an increase of Rs1.73 per unit for the August adjustment.

The latest increase follows a Rs2.06 per unit hike under the July monthly adjustment, which was included in consumers’ September bills.
Electricity consumers are also separately bearing an additional burden of 52 paisas per unit under the quarterly adjustment.
