The government reduced the price of petrol by Re0.66 to Rs398.30 per litre, while increasing the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Re0.52 to Rs396.24 per litre, effective from Saturday, October 10, 2026.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised on Friday the ex-depot prices of petroleum products under the federal government’s petroleum pricing mechanism, according to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division.

The revised prices will remain in effect from October 10 to October 12, 2026.

The Petroleum Division said the change was necessitated by global developments, including movements in Platts rates, premiums and incidentals.

On Thursday, the government had increased the price of petrol by Rs2.31 per litre and diesel by Re0.78 per litre.
