Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday called for stronger economic and business ties between Pakistan and Poland, saying the two countries should transform their longstanding friendship into a robust, long-term partnership.
The prime minister made the remarks during a meeting with Tomasz Siemoniak, Poland’s Minister, Member of the Council of Ministers and Coordinator of Special Services, who is on an official visit to Pakistan.
PM Shehbaz expressed satisfaction over the positive trajectory of bilateral relations and stressed the importance of leadership-level exchanges to further expand cooperation between the two countries.
He also called for greater interaction between the business communities of Pakistan and Poland, according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office.
The prime minister appreciated Poland’s support for Pakistan under the European Union’s GSP Plus scheme and expressed confidence that bilateral ties would continue to strengthen across various sectors.
The two sides also exchanged views on major regional and international developments, including the situation in the Middle East.
PM Shehbaz stressed the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in resolving regional tensions and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region.
