LAHORE: Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif here on Saturday and discussed matters concerning the country’s security situation.
During the meeting, which lasted for over one hour, Naqvi apprised the PM of the progress made in talks with the PTI on the latter planned long march towards Islamabad on October 4, sources said.
The premier acknowledged members of the government delegation for going ahead with negotiations with a positive state of mind, the sources said, adding, “It was resolved at the meeting that the opposition’s political issues should be resolved through dialogue.”
After the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi left for Islamabad where the government team is scheduled to meet the opposition.
