Missions abroad: Body discusses steps to improve functioning
ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister (DPM/FM) Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday chaired a meeting of the Committee to develop a Strategy and Action Plan for the Management of Pakistan Missions Abroad.
The Committee discussed measures to improve the functioning of Pakistan Missions abroad, including strengthening consular services, providing timely assistance to overseas Pakistanis, and undertaking regular repairs and maintenance of government-owned chancery and residential buildings.
The DPM/FM called for an action plan to improve service delivery while ensuring quality and value for public funds.
The meeting was attended by Muhammad Talal Chaudhry, Minister of State for Interior and Narcotics Control; SAPM Tariq Bajwa; and senior officials from the Ministries of Finance and Foreign Affairs.
