MUMBAI: India recorded its lowest monsoon rainfall in more than a decade during the June-September season as the El Niño weather pattern dampened precipitation, a senior weather department official told Reuters on Wednesday.
The country received 12.6% below average rainfall during the season, the official from the state-run India Meteorological Department said.
