PARTLY FACETIOUS: ‘White paper’ should have been sourced to federal govt

“What’s a white paper.”

“A paper that is white?”

“Don’t be facetious. It’s a document that is informational…”

“Informational or investigative?”

“It’s defined as a government document that provided in-depth background information on topics of public interest including proposed legislation but now they are common tools used for marketing by the private sector….”

“If my memory serves me right one of the earliest example is in 1922 referred to as the Churchill White Paper titled Palestine: Correspondence with the Palestine Arab Delegation and the Zionist Organisation that referred to the anti-Jewish strikes in Jaffa…”

“Right and we know where that got the Palestinians.”

“Yep and if you are referring to the White Paper released to the media by Prime Minister’s Coordinator Ikhtiar Wali Khan sahib accompanied by Samar Bolour sahiba, a PML-N member of the National Assembly…”

“So it’s a government paper….”

“Well reportedly it was issued by the PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter that exposed poor governance of the government led by the party of The Man Who Must Remain Nameless, Voiceless sand Faceless.”

“But then why did they not present it?”

“Ï am not sure – I guess with a total of 17 members in the provincial assembly, 10 on reserved seats with a total of 145 seats….”

“So no big name which would have merited its coverage.”

“Don’t be silly. Anyway my point is what was their source of information? See a government has a better grasp over what money is spent where and ideally the Auditor General of Pakistan….”

“I am not treading on any one’s toes. I am merely pointing out that the white paper should have been issued by the Ministry of Interior and Talal sahib has experience in cutting down all those opposed to who he is loyal to…”

“Which changes from…”

“Change is a part of life silly, so I reckon the White Paper should have been sourced to the federal government not to the KPK PML-N chapter because, not that I don’t believe every claim made in the paper, yet the PML-N KPK chapter’s access to information is….”

“Well I heard the party under attack has said one word can you guess what it is?”
