Operation Shaban-2: Six terrorists killed in Balochistan’s Saran Tangi area

Six terrorists were killed and nine suspected individuals were arrested during an intelligence-based operation by security forces in Saran Tangi area of Balochistan under Operation Shaban-2, state media Radio Pakistan reported on Tuesday, citing security sources.

According to security sources, the operation was conducted against terrorists of Fitna al-Hindustan on the basis of intelligence information.

A large cache of ammunition and weapons was also recovered from the possession of the killed terrorists.

Security forces are continuing operations against terrorists in the area, which will continue until the last terrorist is eliminated.

President, PM laud security forces

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday paid tribute to security forces for killing six terrorists belonging to Fitna Al-Hindustan during an operation Balochistan’s Saran Tangi area.

President Zardari commended the bravery and professionalism of the security forces for foiling the terrorists’ designs.

“The fight against terrorism resulting from external interference would continue,” he said.

The president said Fitna Al-Hindustan and its facilitators would not succeed in undermining peace and stability in Pakistan.

Separately, in a statement, PM Shehbaz also praised the security forces for successfully conducting the operation and killing terrorists.

He said the security forces had foiled the terrorists’ designs through courage and professionalism.

The prime minister said Operation Shaban-2 would continue until the complete elimination of terrorism from the country.

He said every attempt to undermine Pakistan’s peace, security and development would be thwarted with full force, while operations by security forces and law-enforcement agencies would continue.

“The nation stands with its brave soldiers,” the prime minister said.
