ISLAMABAD: Following the directives of the Islamabad High Court (IHC), the district administration on Wednesday imposed a ban on Sheesha cafes in the federal capital.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), said the administration has imposed a complete ban on the operation of Sheesha cafes until further orders. The DC directed all Assistant Commissioners (ACs) to impose the ban on the cafes, which hold no-objection certificates (NOCs) as well.
He further said that the cafe violating the order will be sealed, and a case will be registered against the Sheesha café owner.
