ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Finance has initiated the process for a US dollar-denominated benchmark dual-tranche Eurobond, targeting long five-year and 10-year maturities, subject to market conditions, marking Pakistan’s renewed return to international capital markets.

Adviser to the Finance Minister Khurram Schehzad shared the development on X on Tuesday, saying the transaction comes amid successive upgrades in Pakistan’s sovereign credit ratings, improving macroeconomic fundamentals and strengthening investor confidence.

The proposed dual-tranche offering is expected to provide Pakistan access to international financing while establishing a fresh benchmark for the country in global debt markets.
