KARACHI: Sindh Senior Minister and Provincial Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon, while reacting the statement of MQM leader Mustafa Kamal, accusing him of inciting hatred.

He said the MQM’s ‘hatred and division-based’ ideology has now been rejected. The people have already buried politically those who tried to create urban-rural divide and will do so again.

In a statement, he said that reality cannot be changed by a few negative examples and false claims. The Pakistan People’s Party always demolished the walls of hatred, while the opponents always tried to run a shop of division.

Memon said that Karachi is the heart of Sindh and the jugular vein of Pakistan’s economy. Those who defamed Karachi with terror before the world are now being hunted by the federal government.

He said that the MQM’s politics have always revolved around division, hatred and linguistic discrimination. The people have understood their false narratives and political tricks well. Giving a linguistic color to administrative decisions is actually an attempt to keep their failed politics alive.

Memon said that the people rejected those who slandered the Pakistan People’s Party for eighteen years, on the contrary, the people voted for the PPP in every election.

He said that Karachi is and will remain the heart of Sindh. No one can divide the people for their own temporary interests. The PPP provided development opportunities to all citizens of Sindh without discrimination. It is ridiculous to hold the party that united the federation responsible for the division of Karachi.

Memon said that the Pakistan People’s Party considers serving the people of the entire province, including Karachi, as its mission. The Pakistan People’s Party has always defeated the politics of hatred and promoted peace, development and brotherhood. The PPP has never divided Karachi, but rather worked to keep the country united, improve and develop it.

He said that the people know who ruined their future by giving guns to their children.

Sindh has been home to people speaking different languages for centuries. Politicians like Mustafa Kamal are instigating hatred among the people for their political purposes, he concluded.
