LAHORE: In line with the vision of the Chief Minister Punjab, the Punjab Home Department has taken action to uphold merit and accountability, suspending two senior prison officers over inefficiency, negligence and misconduct.
According to the spokesperson for the Punjab Home Department, Superintendent Central Jail Mianwali Rasool Bakhsh and Deputy Superintendent Executive Asad Tariq have been placed under suspension for a period of 90 days. The Punjab Home Department has issued suspension orders and initiated proceedings against the officers under the Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability (PEEDA) Act, 2006.
