DPM Dar reaches London ahead of official visit starting on Monday
- He is set to meet Miliband, discuss Somali pirates' hostages
Pakistan's Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar will visit the UK from August 24-28, 2026, for high-level meetings and discussions on bilateral ties and maritime security.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar arrived in London on Sunday night to begin a five-day official visit to the United Kingdom, scheduled from August 24 to 28.
Upon his arrival at London Heathrow Airport, the deputy prime minister was received by Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Tipu Usman, along with senior diplomatic officials. During his visit, Senator Dar is expected to hold high-level bilateral talks with senior British officials to review bilateral relations and explore avenues for enhanced trade, economic, and regional cooperation.
In a curtain raiser handout, the Foreign Office earlier said the Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister will hold meetings with UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband and FCDO Minister of State for Pakistan Stephen Doughty, besides other senior members of the UK government.
He will also meet the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization to discuss the issue of Pakistani crew members held by Somali pirates aboard the MT Honour 25 oil tanker, and hold a separate meeting with Commonwealth Secretary-General Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey.
The FO said Dar will additionally engage with British parliamentarians and representatives of the British-Pakistani community during the visit.
