LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has announced August 26 as public holiday to observe Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).
According to a notification issued by the registrar, the LHC at principal seat, its benches and all subordinate courts in the Punjab will remain closed on August 26.
Earlier, a notification had declared August 25 as a holiday for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH). The revised order replaces August 25 with August 26 as the holiday.
Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) marks the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and is observed across Pakistan with religious devotion.
