The federal government increased the price of petrol by Rs3.81 per litre and High-Speed Diesel (HSD) by Rs3.59 per litre, effective from Saturday, August 22, to Monday, August 24.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Friday revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products under the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.

The price of petrol was increased by Rs3.81 per litre, taking it from Rs337.78 to Rs341.59 per litre.

The price of HSD was raised by Rs3.59 per litre, from Rs364.70 to Rs368.29 per litre.

The new prices will remain in effect until Monday, in line with the government’s ongoing practice of adjusting fuel prices based on international oil markets and other cost factors.

In the previous review on Thursday, the government increased the price of HSD by Rs1.64 per litre and petrol by Re0.27 per litre.
