LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Thursday met members of the National Assembly belonging to the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) and discussed the political situation in the country and ongoing development projects in Punjab.
The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Overseas Pakistanis and MNA Muhammad Aoun Chaudhry, Gul Asghar Khan and Manza Hassan.
The participants agreed to work together for the country’s development, stability and on political matters. The IPP lawmakers appreciated the chief minister’s welfare initiatives and praised her efforts for development and public welfare in Punjab.
They particularly lauded projects aimed at providing clean drinking water in districts facing brackish water and appreciated the provincial government’s development initiatives.
The lawmakers also congratulated Maryam Nawaz on the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s victory in the Azad Kashmir elections, saying that her development projects had gained recognition beyond Punjab, including in Azad Kashmir.
They praised the chief minister’s leadership and expressed their resolve to move forward together in the larger national and political interest.
The CM Punjab welcomed the commitment to work together in the journey of public service and development.
