KARACHI: The Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) has received its third consecutive Platinum Performance Achievement Award from the American College of Cardiology (ACC), recognising its consistent delivery of evidence-based, guideline-directed care to patients experiencing heart attacks.

The award is based on AKUH’s participation in the ACC Chest Pain-MI Registry, which enables hospitals to continuously measure their care against established clinical standards and identify opportunities for improvement. For patients, this means their care is guided by internationally recognised best practices and supported by a system that continuously reviews how care is delivered.

“This third consecutive international recognition is a strong endorsement of our commitment to evidence-based, patient-centred cardiac care,” said Dr Farhat Abbas T.I., S.I., CEO, AKU Health System, Pakistan.

Farhat said the award reflects our teams’ dedication to delivering safe, high-quality care and continuously improving outcomes for our patients.
