KARACHI: The Government of Pakistan has nominated renowned ophthalmologist Dr Sharif Hashmani for the prestigious Sitara-i-Imtiaz, in recognition of his outstanding and valuable services in the field of medicine.
Dr Sharif Hashmani has made significant contributions to healthcare, patient welfare and the promotion of quality medical services in Pakistan. Throughout his distinguished professional career, he has played an important role in the treatment of eye diseases and the advancement of ophthalmic healthcare.
His nomination for the prestigious national civil award is being regarded as a formal recognition of his long-standing professional services, expertise and commitment to public welfare.
The award is scheduled to be conferred upon Dr Sharif Hashmani at a special ceremony on March 23, Pakistan Day.
