LAHORE: Members of the Provincial Assembly from Attock district called on Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz and held detailed discussions on public needs and development projects.

The MPAs congratulated the chief minister on the success in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and paid tribute to her for launching the electrobus service in Attock district.

Talking to the chief minister, the MPAs said electro-buses were operating from POF Sanjwal to Hazro and from Government College of Technology Dhok Fateh to Attock Khurd. They apprised the chief minister of the positive public response to the provision of electrobus service for Attock and adjoining areas.

They said free travel for women, students and senior citizens on a world-class bus service was a blessing. The MPAs described the upgradation of villages under the Model Village Project as a revolutionary initiative, saying Punjab’s development and landmark projects were becoming a model for other provinces.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that, on the pattern of the Suthra Punjab Programme, the Clean Drinking Water Project was also among the government’s priorities. “After cleanliness, my resolve is to provide clean drinking water in all cities across Punjab,” she said.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said the Pakistan Muslim League-N had made Pakistan a nuclear power and built motorways. “We have launched the Punjab Development Programme for every city and village, under which mega projects for drainage, sewerage systems and roads have been initiated across the province,” she added.
