PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise and Narcotics Control Department Saturday intercepted two separate smuggling attempts, recovering a total of 36kg of hashish and 1.5kg of methamphetamine (ice) while arresting three suspects in Peshawar and Charsadda.
The first operation was carried out by Bureau of Intelligence and Investigation Squad B-1, which intercepted and searched a vehicle (registration number 2731) near Gol Chowk in Peshawar. Officials discovered 18kg of hashish and 1.5kg of ice hidden inside the vehicle.
The driver identified as Zubair of Palosai, Peshawar was apprehended at the scene.
