KARACHI: Ribat, an Islamic community resource centre, inaugurated its newly-developed Quran Enclave and Extended Library on Friday, expanding its capacity to serve the community through Quranic education and access to knowledge.
“In 2022, seven decades after its establishment, Ribat-ul-Uloom was revitalized as Ribat, an Islamic community resource centre designed to serve the evolving needs of the community while carrying forward its legacy of service and faith,” said Naeem Akhtar Yousuf, president of Ribat.
Since then, Ribat has continued to host programmes and initiatives designed to create opportunities for people from diverse backgrounds and abilities to participate, learn and connect.
The revitalized campus brought together a library, sports centre and learning facilities.
The library serves both as a space for students to study and as a centre for preserving Ribat’s historic collection through ongoing digital archiving.
With growing demand for study space and educational programmes, the existing facilities increasingly reached capacity, prompting the development of the new Quran Enclave and Extended Library.
