Independence Day of Pakistan: Message from Akbar Eisaa Zadeh, Consul of the Islamic Republic of Iran
“It gives me immense pleasure and honor, on behalf of the Government and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran, to extend my warmest and most sincere congratulations to the Government, Armed Forces, and brotherly people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on the 79th anniversary of its Independence, celebrated on August 14.
“August 14 serves as a profound reminder of the tireless efforts, immense sacrifices, and visionary leadership of Pakistan’s founding fathers, particularly Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, whose steadfast guidance and statesmanship led the nation toward the realization of its cherished ideal of freedom and the establishment of an independent Pakistan.
“The bonds between Iran and Pakistan transcend mere geographical proximity; the relations between the two countries are built upon the solid foundations of history, culture, religion, and deep people-to-people commonalities.
“Iran takes pride in being the first country to officially recognize Pakistan’s independence, and since then, the two nations have consistently stood side by side through times of hope and trial.
“The poetry and thought of Allama Iqbal, which serve as the turning point of the literary and spiritual connection between the two peoples, bear living testimony to this unbreakable solidarity.
“Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasizes the further development and consolidation of all-round relations with Pakistan, especially in the economic, trade, energy, border cooperation, and cultural exchange sectors. Strengthening borders of peace, boosting bilateral trade, and enhancing regional security remain shared strategic goals that bring sustainable benefits to the peoples of both nations.
“In my capacity as Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran, while paying tribute to the noble spirits of the martyrs of Pakistan’s Independence Movement, I pray to Almighty God for the continuous progress, pride, security, and prosperity of our friendly and brotherly country, Pakistan.Long Live Iran-Pakistan Friendship.”
