The federal government raised the price of High Speed Diesel (HSD) by Rs1.16 per litre, and the Motor Spirit (petrol) by Re0.45 per litre for Friday, August 14.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Thursday revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products under the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.

The price of petrol was increased by Re0.45 per litre, taking it from Rs324.98 to Rs325.43 per litre.

The price of HSD was increased by Rs1.16 per litre, from Rs382.79 to Rs383.95 per litre.

The new prices will remain in effect until tomorrow, in line with the government’s ongoing practice of adjusting fuel prices based on international oil markets and other cost factors.

In the previous review on Wednesday, the government raised the price of HSD by Re0.54 per litre while reducing the price of petrol by Re0.94 per litre.
