KARACHI: Gold prices continued to grow, accumulating more value on Wednesday, as the world bullion rates further soared, traders said.
The fresh increase drove the yellow metal prices to Rs 463,936 per tola and Rs 397,750 per 10 grams, up by Rs 4,200 and Rs 3,601, respectively, the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association said. World bullion market saw an increase of USD 42, reaching USD 4415 per ounce while silver was trading at USD 66.32 per ounce, surging by USD 1.46, it added.
Domestic silver prices also inched up by Rs 146 and Rs 125, hitting Rs 7,111 per tola and Rs 6,096 per 10 grams, respectively, it said.
It is worth noting the open market may be trading gold and silver at prices differing those announced by the association, which says, the bullion valuation is based on inter-bank exchange rates.
