Five terrorists killed in Balochistan

ISLAMABAD: Security forces killed five terrorists belonging to Fitna Al Hindustan during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan’s Panjgur district, the military’s media wing said on Tuesday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was conducted on August 10 as part of the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign against what it described as Indian-sponsored proxies.

During the operation, security forces also recovered and destroyed a significant cache of weapons, ammunition and improvised explosive devices (IEDs), the ISPR said.

Sanitisation operations were subsequently carried out in the area to eliminate any remaining threats. The military said counter-terrorism operations under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam”, as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, would continue against foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism in the country.
