HAMBURG: Three trading companies are believed to be taking part so far in the international tender on Tuesday from Jordan’s state grains buyer to purchase 120,000 metric tons of wheat, traders said in initial assessments.
Trading houses participating so far were believed to be Bunge, CHS and Olam. No purchase has yet been reported and a decision is expected later on Tuesday, traders said.
Shipment in the tender is sought in a series of possible combinations in consignments of 60,000 tons for September 1-15, September 16-30, October 1-15 and October 16-31.
Market uncertainty about Black Sea exports caused by recent attacks on grain ships and ports by Russia and Ukraine was believed to have reduced participation, traders said.
