ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday expressed satisfaction over the inflow of USD 3.6 billion in remittances sent by overseas Pakistanis in July 2026.
In a statement, the prime minister said remittances from overseas Pakistanis increased by 13 percent year-on-year in July, describing the rise as “highly encouraging”.
“Remittances from overseas Pakistanis also increased by 4.5 percent month-on-month in July 2026,” he added.

He said the consistent positive contribution of overseas Pakistanis to the stability and growth of the national economy was “highly commendable”.
“Overseas Pakistanis are a valuable and integral part of our national economic mainstream,” he added.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the inflow of workers’ remittances into the country stood at USD 3.631 billion in July 2026.
The central bank said remittances increased by 4.5 percent month-on-month and 13 percent year-on-year during the month.
Workers’ remittances increased by 9 percent to USD 41.6 billion during July-June FY26, up from USD 38.3 billion in the previous fiscal year.
