LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has paid tribute to Major Muhammad Tufail Shaheed, Nishan-i-Haider, on his death anniversary.
“Major Muhammad Tufail Shaheed’s sacrifice for the defence of the motherland can never be forgotten. He wrote an everlasting chapter of courage while displaying exemplary valour,” she said.
The chief minister said Major Tufail Shaheed’s courage and bravery were a matter of pride for the nation. “The sacrifices of our great martyrs are a guarantee of our freedom, sovereignty and national security,” she said, adding that Major Muhammad Tufail Shaheed’s courage and bravery were a source of inspiration for officers and soldiers.
CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif has also paid tribute to Captain Hamza Akram, who embraced martyrdom while fighting terrorists in Hangu.
