ISLAMABAD: Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Saturday welcomed the signing of the Joint Defence Agreement among the three brotherly countries — the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Republic of Türkiye — in Makkah.
He described the agreement as another significant strategic achievement of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and said that it was a testament to Pakistan’s growing stature and its key role in promoting peace, security, and stability in the region. He commended the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman, and President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on the signing of this significant strategic initiative, and congratulated the people of Pakistan on this landmark development.
The Speaker described the Joint Defence Agreement as a promising development that would further strengthen collective security and contribute to peace & stability in the region. He said the agreement reflected the shared resolve of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye to safeguard their sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity while contributing to a peaceful and stable regional environment.
