KARACHI: Gold prices increased further and registered a notable rise on Friday, tracking a global market’s gains, traders said.
All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association said that the continuing gains in the world bullion market sent ripples across the local market.
The fresh increase pushed gold prices up by Rs5,100 to Rs454,336 per tola and value of per 10 grams reached Rs389,519 up by Rs4,372.
The international gold bullion rates soared by $51, settling at USD4,319 per ounce with market trading silver at USD65 per ounce, growing by USD3, the association added.
Domestic silver prices also edged higher by Rs280 to sell at Rs6,939 per tola while the white metal per 10 grams was available for Rs5,949, up Rs240.
It is worth noting the open market may sell gold and silver at prices differing from those set by the association.
