Sindh announces new school timings effective from Aug 6

The Sindh School Education Department has issued a new circular revising school timings across the province, with the revised schedule taking effect from August 6.

Under the new schedule, all government schools, including single- and double-shift institutions, will be required to strictly follow the revised timings until further orders.

For single-shift primary schools, timings from August 6 to October 31 will be 8am to 2:30pm from Monday to Thursday, while schools will operate from 8am to 1pm on Fridays.

From November 1 to March 31, single-shift primary schools will operate from 8:30am to 3pm.

The department has also revised timings for double-shift elementary, secondary and higher secondary schools. From August 6 to October 31, the first shift will run from 7:30am to 1:30pm.

From November 1 to March 31, the first shift will operate from 8am to 1:45pm.

From August 6 to October 31, the second shift will operate from 1pm to 6pm. From November 1 to March 31, the second shift will operate from 12:45pm to 5:45pm.

The circular also prescribes revised timings for single-shift elementary, secondary and higher secondary schools, as well as the first and second shifts of double-shift primary schools.

The Sindh Education Department has directed all concerned officials and heads of schools to ensure immediate implementation of the new schedule.

The revised timings will remain in effect until further orders, according to the circular.
