LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Education Rana Sikandar Hayat on Tuesday announced the Matriculation (SSC) results of all Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education across the province, unveiling a series of reforms aimed at rewarding merit and modernising the examination system.
Addressing the ceremony, the minister raised the cash award for position holders from Rs20,000 to Rs100,000 per student and distributed laptops among top performers, calling the transparent results a source of pride for the Punjab government. He said result cards would now be available online, with private school students able to download verified copies through their institutions’ portals. An AI-powered chatbot has also been launched to answer student queries instantly.
The minister added that full screen marking would begin next year, alongside a QR code-based rechecking system, and claimed 95 percent of the examination cheating mafia had been eliminated this year.
