SBP-held foreign exchange reserves up $13mn to $17.04bn

Pakistan's central bank saw its foreign exchange reserves increase by $13 million to $17.04 billion by July 31, 2026, after a decline the previous week.

Foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased by $13 million to $17.04 billion during the week ended July 31, 2026.
In its weekly reserves statement, the SBP said the country’s total liquid foreign exchange reserves stood at $22.47 billion as of July 31, 2026. Of these, commercial banks held $5.43 billion in net foreign exchange reserves.
“During the week ended on 31-Jul-2026, SBP’s FX reserves increased by US$ 13 million to US$ 17,043.0 million,” the central bank said.
Last week, the SBP reported that its forex reserves had declined by $229 million to $17.03 billion during the week ended July 24, 2026.
