MUZAFFARABAD: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has secured victory in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly constituency LA-28 (Lachhrat-II).
According to the official results issued by the Returning Officer on Form 27, PPP won the LA-28 seat.
PPP candidate Syed Bazil Ali Naqvi was declared successful after receiving 28,214 votes.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Chaudhry Shehzad Mahmood finished second with 26,866 votes.
The Returning Officer also issued Form 27 for constituency LA-27, where PML-N candidate Noreen was declared the winner with 18,919 votes.
Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) candidate Tabarak Ali secured second place in LA-27 with 18,621 votes, while PPP candidate Javed Ayub finished third after receiving 18,037 votes.
