FAISALABAD: The National Textile University (NTU) observed Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir on Wednesday with a solidarity walk to express unwavering support for the people of Jammu & Kashmir and reaffirm its commitment to peace, justice, and human dignity.
The walk was led by Worthy Rector/Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Rashid Masood. The Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology (SET), Dr Zulfiqar Ali, Advisor Students Dr Danish Mahmood, Waqar Ahmad (Programme Director AI) and a large number of faculty members, officers, and staff also participated in the walk.
Participants carried banners and flags and marched across the campus to express solidarity with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters. The event also highlighted the importance of dialogue and harmony in resolving longstanding disputes.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Rashid Masood reiterated the university’s commitment to fundamental human rights and the principles of justice. The walk concluded with prayers for the people of Jammu & Kashmir and reaffirmed the collective resolve to stand by them in their quest for self-determination.
The observance was held in line with the directives of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), which called upon universities to organize events to raise awareness about the Kashmir issue and express solidarity with the Kashmiri people.
