ISLAMABAD: The Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, Islamabad, has seized six non-duty-paid (NDP) vehicles, a large quantity of foreign-origin cloth and an offending vehicle during intelligence-based anti-smuggling operations conducted in the last week of July 2026.

According to an official statement issued on Tuesday, the seized vehicles comprise a 2011 Daihatsu Mira, 2018 Suzuki Alto, 2015 Suzuki Alto, 1990 Toyota Surf, 2003 Toyota Vitz and 2011 Toyota Prius.

The total estimated value of the seized vehicles and goods exceeds Rs26.5 million, officials said, adding that the operation dealt a significant blow to smuggling networks operating in the region.

The Collectorate reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy against smuggling and said intelligence-led enforcement operations would continue in close coordination with federal and provincial law enforcement agencies.

It added that sustained anti-smuggling efforts are aimed at protecting the national economy, supporting local industry and preventing the illegal movement of goods across the country.
